What do I need to register my child for school?
- Children who reside in the province of Nova Scotia and reach the age of five (5) years on or before December 31 are eligible for enrolment in the Primary Program,
- Within the online registration form (or if you register in person at your school) please have prepared the following documentation:
- Nova Scotia Health Card
- Birth Certificate
- Proof of residency to confirm your school catchment area (e.g. utility bill)

How do I register my child for Primary?
If your child is currently in Pre-primary within CCRCE, they will be automatically enrolled in Primary at their home catchment school. There is no need to re-register.

- How do I register my child for the Early French Immersion in Primary?

CCRCE offers the Early French Immersion program at four schools where students have approximately 80% learning time in French. The schools are Truro Elementary School, Spring Street Academy, Elmsdale District School and A.G. Baillie Memorial School.

Registration for Pre-primary
The Pre-primary program is voluntary and open to all children who are at least four years old by December 31st, 2025, and live within school catchment. Children can only attend the Pre-primary program for one year.
We are now accepting registration for all sites for the Pre-primary Program for September 2025. Children who are at least four (4) years old by December 31st, 2025, and live within the school's catchment area are eligible.
